Rapiscan Secure 1000 SP

The Rapiscan Secure 1000® SP (Single Pose) is ideal for high security environments because both organic (e.g. solid and liquid explosives, narcotics, ceramic weapons) and inorganic (e.g. metal) materials are apparent in the image. With a total inspection time of 10-20 seconds per person and up to 240 people per hour the Secure 1000 SP provides high throughput, high quality imaging and reliable people screening for even the most demanding screening environments.

The Rapiscan Secure 1000’s patented technology is composed of an ultra-low dose X-ray source that images backscattered X-rays through to a remote operator’s workstation. Using the Secure 1000’s imaging capability your security screeners will be able to detect concealed objects without direct contact. With the available software filter, the remote operator does not see the identity of the person being screened.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety

The Rapiscan Secure 1000® SP complies with the applicable sections of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and ANSI Standard N43.17 “Radiation Safety for Personnel Security Screening Systems Using X-Rays”. The effective dose from one complete inspection (screening) of an individual from a Rapiscan Secure 1000 Single Pose is less than ten micro Rem (10 μRem) per screening (or < 0.10 μSv per screening).
